Dormer, born 11 February 1982, is an English actress from England. She has won
an Empire Award and been nominated for two Gemini Awards, two Critics' Choice
Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her birthplace was in Reading,
Berkshire, Dormer gained notoriety for her character of Anne Boleyn in the
Showtime show The Tudors (2007-08), that earned her acclaim across the board.
In Sweet Nothings (2010), she made her stage debut. She was also the Duchess Of
York in Madonna's W.E. (2011), Private Lorraine in Captain America The First
Avenger (2011). After Miss Julie (2012) in the Young Vic, was highly and
praised. Dormer gained international attention and praise for her role as
Margaery Tyrell on the HBO series Game of Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in
the last two parts of The Hunger Games franchise (2014-2015) These are her
highest-grossing film. She also voiced of Onica in The Dark Crystal: Age of
Resistance (2018), Sara Price Jess Price in The Forest (2016), as well as Irene
Adler/Moriarty from CBS's Elementary (2013)-15. The actress was recognized for
her leading role in the mini-series Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020).
Dormer was born in Reading (Berkshire), England on the 11th of February, 1982.
She is the daughter of Gary Dormer, Claire Richards, and Samantha Dormer.
