Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was the younger sister of
media mogul, producer, musician Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada
Jones is her older sibling. Five half-siblings are born due to her father's
other marriages. Her father is African-American , and her mother is Ashkenazi
Jewish (a descendant of exiles from Russia and Latvia). Rashida was born into
Reform Judaism. She was born in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. Jones claimed
that Jones' mixed race parents weren't acceptable to her during the 1970s. Jones
began her professional acting debut in The Last Don, a 1997 mini-series based
on the novel written by Mario Puzo. Rashida completed her studies at Harvard
University in 1997. The school she attended was the Buckley School in Sherman
Oaks, California. The school awarded her the most likely to succeed. Arabic (O+
O'UO-O(c), her name) means "Major," adult, wise, mature or elder. In

tribute song to Tupac Shakur who was engaged to her sister Kidada Jones. Kidada
as well as Rashida were produced by Quincy Jones III, the brother of Quincy
Jones III. Quincy Jones III was present for the intro and read the lines from
Shakur’s poem "Starry Night." The poem was the source for the song's
name. Rashida's father was African-American but also has smaller quantities of
English, Scottish, and Welsh ancestral ancestry (some of his African relatives
were of the Tikar people of Cameroon). Rashida is Ashkenazi Jewish, of Russian
Jewish and Latvian Jewish descent. Her maternal grandparents are from South
Carolina and Mississippi. Her maternal grandfather was born to New Yorkers and
her maternal grandmother was from Eastern European Jewish heritage. At the end
2009, she was playing three distinct characters in the show, including
"Karen" in the iconic sitcoms on TV: Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella
((2005) and The Office ((2005)).
