Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actor from Canada. She was a part of the Teletoon children's comedy series Majority Rules as Becky Richards. From 2009 until 2010, she played Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's comedy series Majority Rules! In the following year, she was a part of Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson on the NBC post-apocalyptic series of science fiction Revolution from 2012-2014, on which she was nominated for from 2009-2010 for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson played Annika on the A&E TV series Bates Motel. Spiridakos played Detective Hailey Upton in the A&E television drama Bates Motel. in the role of Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was brought up in Winnipeg, Manitoba by George Spiridakos and Anastasia Spiridakos, Greek-born restaurant owners. Spiridakos is the daughter of two brothers. The family moved to her father's hometown, Skala, Greece south of Sparta only a few years after she was born in Canada. They returned to Canada in 1992. Spiridakos is incredibly connected to her Greek family, and is fluent in Greek. Spiridakos started acting in her junior high school. She continued her studies at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting and within a couple of weeks, she had her first television appearance that was a tiny part on Supernatural. The actress worked on television for a few more years with roles in Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos was featured in the TV movie Goblin and the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also played a recurring part on Being Human as werewolf Brynn McLean.In 2009, she was awarded her first lead role on the Canadian Teletoon series Majority Rules!, playing 15-year-old Becky Richards. In 2011, she made her debut as a feature film with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She also produced Kill for Me, a low-budget thriller directed by Michael Greenspan. It starred Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy, and was directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags which was a Nickelodeon original film. Spiridakos was later offered the main role in Revolution which she played as Charlotte Matheson (survivor in an unimaginative future society) in NBC television. She was auditioning while attending her pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos shot her pilot in Atlanta. The pilot season was shot in Wilmington, North Carolina. For her performance in the pilot, she was nominated to win the Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. She was defeated by Fringe's Anna Torv. The second season was shot in Austin, Texas.
