Dawson, born May 9, 1979 [3in America] is an American actress. Her first
feature film appearance was in 1995's independent drama Kids. The roles she
played in subsequent films include He Got Game (1998), Josie and the Pussycats
(2001), Men in Black II (2002), Rent (2005), Sin City (2005), Clerks II (2006),
Death Proof (2007), Seven Pounds (2008), Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The
Lightning Thief (2010), Unstoppable (2010), Zookeeper (2011), Trance (2013),
Top Five (2014) and Zombieland: Double Tap (2019). Dawson has also performed
voice-over work for Disney/Marvel as well as Warner Bros./DC Comics and
ViacomCBS's Nickelodeon unit.For her performance in Rent, Dawson won the
Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress for a Motion Picture; for her role
in Top Five, she was nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for the Best
actress in a comedy. Dawson was born on the 9th of May, 1979 in New York City.
Isabel Celeste, her mother, is Afro-Cuban. Rosario was 16 when Isabel was born.
Her mother, Isabel Celeste, never got married to Patrick C. Harris. Rosario was
a girl when her mother got married to Greg Dawson (a construction worker).
Dawson is four years younger than Clay. Clay is Dawson's half-brother. Dawson
is also famous for her appearances in comic adaptations of novels. These
include Gail Sin City (2005), Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
(2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) and Diana Prince/Wonder Woman on the DC
Animated Movie Universe. She also plays Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in The Lego
Batman Movie. In 2020, she was the voice of Ahsoka Tano in the second season of
The Mandalorian, and is scheduled to appear in the forthcoming Disney+ original
series Ahsoka. She will also appear in Young Rock, an autobiographical comedy
series developed by Dwayne John in 2021.
