Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in Chernivtsi, Ukraine on the 14th of August 1983. Kunis seven years old, immigrated to the United States along with her parents Elvira and Mark Kunis. The family ended up settling in Los Angeles. The Kunis family had only $250 in their account when they moved to their new home. Kunis' parents, both of whom gave up their professional jobs to relocate to a better location for their children and were determined to create a better life for their children. Mark was a former engineer who worked in mechanical engineering swiftly found work as taxi driver. Elvira, an entomologist from Ukraine was able to run a pharmacy. "I did not understand the American culture," Kunis has said when she first arrived in the United States. I didn't get the American culture. I did not understand the language. My essay for college started with this line: "Imagine being blinded and deaf by 7 years old." It was kind of similar to moving from the States. However, I was able to get over it quickly." Milena Markovna Kunis, daughter of Mark Kunis' and Elvira Kunis' from Chernivtsi Ukraine, was born on the 14th of August, 1982. She has an older brother. Her mother is a teacher of physics and manages a pharmacy. Her father, who is a mechanical engineer by profession, doubles as driver for taxis. She is Jewish. Her family moved from Israel to Los Angeles when she turned seven. Rosewood Elementary School was her first school. She began acting lessons when she was nine. After auditioning for few commercials, she made her television debut in 1994 on 'Days of our Lives. She also appeared as a child actor in the 'Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves, 'Santa with Muscles,' and the Angelina Jolie movie, Gia. She was first cast in the sitcom That '70s in 1998 show in the role of Jackie Burkhart. Her performance was praised by the critics. In 1999 she was cast in the role of Meg Griffin on the animated sitcom Family Guy.
